The 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is set to be disbursed around June 28, 2024. This installment will provide ₹2000 to eligible farmers as part of the annual ₹6000 distributed in three equal installments


To receive the installment, farmers must complete the eKYC process. This can be done online through the official PM Kisan website or via biometric verification at a Common Service Center (CSC) if Aadhaar OTP is not available. Farmers need to ensure their mobile numbers linked with Aadhaar are active and updated


To check the beneficiary status, farmers can visit the official PM Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in), enter their details such as Aadhaar number, mobile number, or Kisan ID, and view the status of their installment


PM KISAN SCHEME DETAILS:


The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a central sector scheme launched by the Government of India to provide income support to small and marginal farmers. Here are the key details of the scheme:

1. **Objective**: To supplement the financial needs of the small and marginal farmers in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income.

2. **Eligibility**:


   - All landholding farmer families, which have cultivable landholding in their names, are eligible for the scheme.
   - Exclusions include institutional landholders, farmer families holding constitutional posts, serving or retired officers and employees of state/central government as well as PSUs and government autonomous bodies, professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs, and pensioners with a monthly pension above Rs. 10,000.

3. **Benefits**:


   - Under the scheme, income support of ₹6,000 per year is provided to all eligible farmer families.
   - The amount is payable in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
   - The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

4. **Implementation**:


   - The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
   - States and Union Territories identify the farmer families that are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines.

5. **Application Process**:


   - Farmers can apply through the PM-KISAN portal, Common Service Centres (CSCs), or through local revenue offices/officials.
   - Required documents include proof of landholding, Aadhaar number, bank account details, and other relevant documents.
