### Eligibility Criteria
1. Indian citizenship.
2. Ownership of a house with a suitable roof for solar panels.
3. Valid electricity connection.
4. No previous subsidies availed for solar panels.
5. Yearly family income not exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh.
6. No government employees in the applicant's family.
7. Aadhaar linked to a bank account.
### Application Process
1. Visit the official portal: [PM Surya Ghar](https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in).
2. Register by selecting your state, electricity distribution company, and entering your electricity consumer number, mobile number, and email.
3. Log in with your consumer number and mobile number.
4. Fill out the online application form for the rooftop solar installation.
5. Await feasibility approval from your DISCOM (Electricity Distribution Company).
6. Upon approval, install the solar plant through a registered vendor.
7. Submit installation details and apply for a net meter.
8. After the installation of the net meter and inspection by DISCOM, a commissioning certificate will be generated.
9. Submit bank account details and a cancelled cheque to receive the subsidy within 30 days.
